We are committed to continuous learning and staying ahead in the fencing industry. Recently, our team had the incredible opportunity to participate in a two-day hands-on training course organized by the American Fence Association (AFA) in Mansfield, Texas. This enriching experience not only enhanced our skills but also deepened our understanding of various fencing techniques and tools.

A Comprehensive Learning Experience

The training, hosted by the AFA, covered a wide range of topics essential for any professional in the fencing industry. Over the course of two days, we delved into the intricacies of installing different types of fences. From traditional wood and chain-link to more specialized materials, we gained valuable insights into the best practices for each type. The hands-on nature of the course allowed us to apply what we learned immediately, ensuring that we could refine our techniques under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Hands-On Training with Industry Experts

One of the highlights of the training was the opportunity to work with a variety of tools and equipment. Understanding the right tools for each job is crucial in our line of work, and this training provided us with the knowledge to choose and use these tools more effectively. The instructors from the AFA were exceptional, offering their expertise and answering our questions with patience and clarity. Their dedication to the craft was evident, and we are grateful for the effort they put into making this training a success.

A Special Session with Wood Defender

A significant part of our training was dedicated to learning about fence staining, courtesy of Wood Defender. Their team provided an in-depth session on the different products they offer and demonstrated the staining process. We were also treated to a tour of their facilities, giving us a behind-the-scenes look at how their high-quality stains are produced. This experience was incredibly valuable, as it equipped us with the knowledge to offer even better services to our clients.
