The Kodiak promise
Our Fence Workmanship Warranty
We stand behind every fence we build. If something fails because of how we built it, we make it right. Here is the fence warranty spelled out: what's covered, what's not, and how a claim works.
What the Workmanship Warranty Covers
- Posts that lean or shift because of how they were installed
- Pickets or panels that come loose
- Gates that stop swinging or latching properly
- Hardware failures related to installation
- Rails that separate from posts
- Concrete footing failures
What It Doesn't Cover
- Acts of nature: storms, flooding, lightning, tornadoes
- Vehicle or equipment impact
- Vandalism or intentional damage
- Modifications made by others
- Normal wear and weathering
- Lack of basic maintenance
- Ground movement and soil conditions
- Pet and animal damage
Honest coverage means honest limits. If a storm takes panels out, that's a repair call, and we'll get there fast, but it isn't a workmanship defect.
Material warranties ride on top
Materials carry their manufacturers' own coverage, and we hand you the paperwork with your invoice: Trex backs its composite boards with a 25-year limited product warranty, and cedar, as a natural product, is protected by build quality and finish rather than a certificate. Our workmanship warranty covers the part we control: how your fence was built.
How a Claim Works
Simple process. No hassle. That's the whole point of a real warranty.

Fence Warranty Questions, Answered
How do I know what the fence workmanship warranty covers?
The full workmanship warranty terms come with your quote, before you sign anything, so you know exactly what's covered while you're still comparing bids.
What's the difference between the workmanship warranty and material warranties?
Our workmanship warranty covers how the fence was built: posts, rails, pickets, gates and footings. Materials carry their manufacturers' own warranties, and we hand you that paperwork too. Trex, for example, backs its boards with a 25-year limited product warranty.
How do I file a fence warranty claim?
One call to (469) 754-8913 or an email with a photo. We come look at it, and if the problem traces to our work, we fix it. No runaround is the entire policy.
Does cedar come with a manufacturer warranty?
No. Cedar is a natural product, so no manufacturer warranties it. What protects cedar is the build quality and the finish, which is exactly what our workmanship warranty and our Wood Defender certified staining crew are for.
